The two day gathering will culminate in a celebration feast held at the host Nation and will be an opportunity to showcase the Indigenous food workshops taking place before the event and offer a time to think about future harvesting activities for the upcoming spring and summer season.
The coordinator will be supported by an organizing committee made up of members from SȾÁUTW̱ Health (Tsawout), W̱JOȽEȽP Health (Tsartlip), Songhees Health, PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱, Project RECLAIM, SeaChange, Island Health, CRFair, and the Capital Regional District. There is also a toolkit available developed from previous workshops that will give the coordinator a template to work from in taking this project on.
